Access control in LTZs with the EnVES EVO 1812 system
The EnVES EVO 1812 system is designed for controlling access to LTZs (Limited Traffic Zones) through automatic reading of vehicle number plates. The LTZ access control system captures images of passing vehicles using a camera and transmits the location, time, and identification (license plate number) of unauthorized vehicles, along with the relevant image, to the central control system.
The EnVES EVO 1812 access control system aims to achieve the following:
- Minimal environmental impact, with a particular focus on protecting public health.
- Energy-saving features.
- Reduction of architectural impact.
- Effective and rigorous identification of violations.
- Compliance with privacy rules.
- Flexible and cost-effective management.
The system utilizes the following features:
- Transit detection solely through image processing (no additional sensor)
- Optional non-invasive vehicle transit classification systems.
- Infrared illuminator that is harmless to the human eye
- Utilizes one of the most effective number plate recognition software available on the market
- Efficiently manages sensitive data and images related to violations, ensuring compliance with privacy legislation requirements.
EnVES EVO 1812 consists of two main subsystems: the gate management subsystem for infringement detection and the server management subsystem for assessment procedures.EnVES
Gate Management
The gate management subsystem consists of:
- Video capture sensor 'Vista EnVES';
- Optional non-invasive vehicle classification sensor.
The Vista EnVES sensors feature a high-sensitivity HD camera with an IR illuminator, which can be controlled remotely. Both devices have an IP 66 housing in accordance with EN 60529.
The system can transmit data and images related to breaching transits through any IP network, whether wired (via fiber optic, UTP cable, etc.) or wireless (including cellular network).
All verification/ investigation activities of infringements are conducted on the server, allowing local police officers to perform their tasks in full compliance with the law.
The EnVES EVO 1812 system has obtained type approval from the Ministry of Infrastructure and Transport on the basis of the requirements of the New Highway Code and the relative Regulations for execution and implementation, and the specific regulations outlined in Presidential Decree no. 250 of 22 June 1999, no. 250 - Regulation. This decree contains rules for the authorization of the installation and operation of systems for detecting vehicle accesses to historic town centers and restricted traffic zones. The purpose of these systems is to ascertain violations of the provisions on limiting vehicular traffic and the imposition of related penalties.
