The EnVES EVO MVD system
The EnVES EVO MVD 1605 system is a Ministry of Infrastructure and Transport-approved system designed to detect red light and instantaneous speeding offences, both in automatic and attended modes.
The EnVES EVO MVD 1605 system can be used for the following purposes:
- Enforcing red light violations
- Enforcing overspeed violations
- Detecting both red light violations and exceeding the speed limit when the traffic light is green
This device enables the identification of violations by capturing images of the offending vehicle and verifying the associated data. Digitalized images or video footage of the offending vehicle are used to ensure the reliability of the assessment and allow for subsequent verification of the offense by the vehicle owner.
How is the violation established with the ENVES EVO MVD 1605 system?
THE ENVES EVO MVD 1605 SYSTEM captures images or footage of the time before and after the violation, which allows law enforcement officers with a clear view of the offense’s dynamics.
When used for traffic light enforcement, the system is also approved for detecting violations of exceeding the limit before which the driver must stop the vehicle to comply with traffic light regulations.
The EnVES EVO MVD system is designed to minimize environmental impact, save energy, reduce architectural impact, and ensure efficient and accurate identification of violations while complying with privacy regulations. The system offers flexible and cost-effective management and includes the following features:
- The system is completely digital and allows operators to directly acquire photos of violations through a telematic link.
- It does not have any potentially disturbing elements for citizens. The devices do not use flash devices, and vehicle detection is carried out non-invasively using a non-invasive speed-measuring sensor. In the case of traffic-light violations, video analysis is used. Optional passive and maintenance-free transit detection sensors can also be used when necessary.
- The system allows for verification of vehicle speed through a photographic sequence.
- It can clearly document the entire dynamics of the violation, including photographic sequences and configurable duration video footage of events preceding and following the violation.
- The system does not connect to the traffic light control unit, preventing interference or damage in the event of vandalism or breakdown.
- It operates effectively in all environmental conditions, including at night.
- The system enables speed detection on two lanes with one-way or opposing directions, using a straight side post at the roadside.
- Violation documentation is digitally signed to guarantee authenticity and encrypted to ensure confidentiality.
- Images related to each violation can be stored locally or periodically sent to the central server.
- The system is self-regulating, which means that undue penalties can be excluded in the presence of exculpatory conditions for the driver.
- It is capable of additional photo documentation in which non-infringing vehicles are automatically blurred.
Red Light Violation Detection
When the system is used to detect red light violations, it operates as follows:
- The system acquires images by analyzing only the portion that frames the traffic light. This allows the system to determine the status of the traffic light.
- Whenever a vehicle is detected, the system checks the status of the traffic light. If the light is red, it saves a sequence of images that includes the moments before and after the offense. The length of the sequence is configurable and can vary depending on the type of system being monitored and the behavior of the vehicles.
- For each monitored lane, it is possible to use a single camera or a context camera that captures the entire scene, along with a zoomed-in camera to capture details and the number plate of the offending vehicle.
- All the captured images, including those of the crossing and a predetermined and configurable number of subsequent and/or previous images, are stored as evidence of the violation. Upon request, the documentation of the infringement can also be provided in the form of a video.
- Each frame of the captured images displays the date and time, the indication of the junction, the time elapsed since the red light came on, and the framing is such that the red traffic light is also visible in the images.
Instantaneous speed detection
When the system is used for instantaneous speed detection, it operates as follows:
- The system detects the passage of vehicles and their speeds using a non-invasive sensor.
- All the captured images, including those of a predetermined and configurable number of subsequent and/or previous images, are stored as evidence of the violation. Upon request, the documentation of the infringement can also be provided in the form of a video.
- Each frame of the captured images displays the date and time, the indication of the road, and the detected speed.
- The system enables frontal detection of vehicles with automatic windscreen obfuscation.
Ministerial Approval
The EnVes EVO MVD 1505 and CELERITAS MVD 2020 systems have been approved by the Ministry of Infrastructure and Transport
